A Frazier Family Christmas!

Wynnie had a great Christmas. Along with her stocking of snacks she received a Nintendo DS. She also received several games including Dogz, a Hamsterz Life, and a Horsez life. She also got her very own cell phone! Now she does not have to borrow mine all the time! Her hamster made out like a bandit receiving a new car wheel and a hamtrac. Very exciting. Dan came over for Christmas right after he got off work at 6 am. He was still in his uniform and undressed down to his bullet proof vest to open gifts, my gosh what did he think we got him! Wynnie got Dan some treats for his new horse Chico. Dan also received gift cards and a flight bag. He will be taking his solo flight pretty soon!

Dorian had a few gifts too, he opened before Christmas his new drill set. The old drill broke. He also received a CD and many other tools from the family, look at the end of the post to see his extra special surprise! Wynnie poses with the hamster race car.
On Christmas eve we covered the tree with 50 retractable pens for Dorian. To fill you in on this gift we have to explain that Dorian has 2 retractable pens that are his favorite, Wynnie and I tend to borrow them. Then the search begins to find the pens. Wynnie and I thought it would be funny to cover the tree in retractable pens. Of course early in the morning Dorian thought they were candy canes, after a better he look he said, "Oh, pens!" Now I hope I never have to search for the "special" pens again!

We want to wish all of you a very merry Christmas!

Christmas has gone to the dogs?

Well not just dogs, all critters at our house enjoyed the holiday. Hedgie on leave from school got in the Christmas spirit by snuggling up with some decorations. He was very excited to get a new hair brush. He was misinformed, hair brushes are not a snack but a grooming device he huffed and snuffed while being brushed. He said bring on the fun stuff!
Buddy couldn't wait for Santa to come! He enjoyed his visit whispering into Santa's ear what he wanted. He also had to sneak a peak right inside Santa's bag! Hold on Buddy wait till Christmas!
Mitzi was so excited to open her stocking. Santa left her squeaky toys. They are her favorite. No matter if she has chewed eyes, legs, and tail of the squeaky toy it just wont die!!!! For the next few months we will be vacuuming squeaky toys up. No cookies for Santa next year!

Hedgie was very excited to open his last gift. He received from Wynnie a stuffed tomato to play with. It looks like fun! He paused running in his wheel to take a peak, but then returned to his rigid exercise program. No rest for the holiday, just keep running, running, running!

Wynnie graduated from Junior to Cadette in Girl Scouts on Sunday. There was a bridging ceremony and reception. The girls planned the ceremony with the help of another mother. They did a nice job. They also received their badges they have earned this year including their new uniform patches, a Cadette badge and a charm from studio 2B.

Wynnie pictured on the bridge used in the ceremony to cross. On her left is her leader Deana and on the right her asst. leader Christy. They do an excellent job as leaders. I am happy that Wynnie could rejoin her old troop when we returned to Kansas City. We are hoping this summer she will get some time at horse camp. They also have day camp activities as well.

Wynnie poses by the Christmas Tree with her violin. She was not at all nervous about the concert. She enjoys playing and especially in front of a crowd.

Wynnie's concert was last night they played 4 songs alone and then one with the 7th and 8th grade. They did great, there was about 600 people there for the concert. Great turn out. Of course the most rude people sat behind us. That always happens! Sam came to the concert to see Wynnie. It was a nice night.

Kansas City Ice Storm

Here are some pictures from our latest ice storm. The roads were fine but it was hard on the trees and power lines. We had recently trimmed some of the trees in our yard, I think that made a huge difference. We were lucky enough to keep our power but many in the area were out. Wynnie only had one day off but some schools were out longer because of no power. It sure can be beautiful but dangerous as well. We were set for the storm with lots of food, bottled water, and a kerosene heater.
